Room 105 – Ryan Brattole

Dear Students and Families,

Winter is coming to an end and Spring is right around the corner!

This marking period has flown by! For Community-Based Instruction (CBI), Room 105 went back to Stop and Shop to continue working on following our shopping lists and some of us even exchanged money with the cashier. We bought more healthy snacks for the classroom and followed directions very well. In January, we celebrated the New Year by learning about New Year’s Eve traditions and even picking some resolutions. In February, we learned about Eagle Watch Weekend. We started off by listening to the sounds that eagles make, which really caught everyone’s attention! Then we watched a few videos of the baby eagles hatching out of their eggs and seeing the world for the very first time.

For a combination Valentine’s Day/100th day of school activity, Room 105 put together 100 hearts for the Van Dyk Park Place assisted living facility in Hawthrone, NJ. We wanted to spread some love! In March, we will be learning about the change over from winter to spring and how that affects the clothing that we wear every day. I’m looking forward to a fun filled third marking period!
