Dear Students and Families,
Room 108 has been having a fun and productive year so far and there is more to come!
In February, we welcomed a new student to our classroom! We now have seven students and seven staff members. We had a great time at the Valentine’s Day dance and enjoyed a pizza lunch from Partners in Caring afterwards! We’ve been watching school basketball games which are always a good time! On Fridays, we enjoy visits from our resident Pet Therapy dog, Chaney! Everyone’s face lights up when he enters our room!
We have explored some very interesting new topics related to Black History Month including Martin Luther King Jr. and Barack Obama. We celebrated the 100th Day of School by making a delicious trail mix made from 100 ingredients! As spring approaches, we will be learning about the changes in weather, planting, St. Patrick’s Day, and Earth Day.
During our weekly CBI trips, we have visited Target, Stop & Shop, and The Dollar Tree where we buy items needed for the classroom. We also went to McDonalds where we enjoyed a nice breakfast together.
As always, maintaining open lines of communication is key to student success. We can continue to communicate through the daily Home-School Communication book or email. Please be sure to let me know your preference in order for us to best share information.
If you have any questions or concerns or if you would like to visit our classroom, schedule a conference, or volunteer to help out, you can contact me through email at or by phone at extension 108. The best times to reach me are 8:30-9:00am or 2:30-3:00pm.
We are looking forward to a spring time of fun and learning!
