Room 201 – Ryann Cash

Dear Students and Families,

Hello and Happy Spring! I can’t believe we are already finishing the second marking period! Time really does fly when you are having fun.

So much more has happened this marking period! For Community-Based Instruction (CBI), Room 201 had a lot of fun going to Stop & Shop, Target, and Dunkin’ Donuts this marking period. We also loved going to the Valentine’s Day Dance- we all have some really good dance moves. Also this marking period, we were able to watch The Phoenix Center Bulls play some exciting basketball games against some other schools! These games also included watching some of our students participate in the Pep Squad half-time show. The rest of our class had our own little pep squad on the sidelines cheering for our friends on the team. Go Bulls!

We also celebrated Black History Month in February. We worked in small groups and read different books on prominent people in black history. We then worked together to complete graphic organizers on our books. Next was the fun part- we got to present our books to the rest of the class. We learned about respecting others and acceptance, and all of the books got a thumbs up!

As always, if you have any questions or concerns or if you would like to schedule a conference, or volunteer to help out, you can contact me at 973-542-0743 EXT. 201 or through email: rcash@thephoenixcenternj.org.  The best times to reach me are 8:30-9:00am or 2:30-3:00pm.

All the best,

Ryann Cash
