Dear Students and Families,
Welcome to Room 105!
We have a lot of fun things planned for the new school year! In October, we will begin our Community-Based Instruction (CBI) trips, starting with pumpkin picking. This year we will be visiting Stop and Shop, AC Moore and Target regularly while students work on following directions in the community as well as following their personal shopping lists. We will also be attending special trips to Flippin’ Out and the bowling alley. Throughout the school year, we will learn about the different holidays that are celebrated, such as Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Daylight Savings Time, and Cinco de Mayo by participating in group activities. As the seasons change, we will learn about each one and how they differ from one another. For Kitchen, Dorm, Laundry (KDL) we will be following modified recipes to make delicious and healthy snacks. Students will also be working from their individual work binders to ensure that they meet IEP goals in Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.
