Dear Students and Families:

Hello from Room 109!

We are all so excited for another amazing school year! Just as in the past, 109 will remain a positive learning environment for the students and a great place for them to build their social and academic skills.

We are all so excited for another amazing school year! Just as in the past, 109 will remain a positive learning environment for the students and a great place for them to build their social and academic skills.

This school year, Room 109 plans to attend CBI (Community-Based Instruction) to a variety of locations such as: Ridgefield Farms for pumpkin picking, Target, Stop & Shop, Chevy’s and much more! This is a great opportunity for our students to apply what they have learned in classroom lessons to the community setting.

In Social Studies, we will work on lessons about the many national and cultural holidays throughout the year as well as current events that may arise. In Science, we will work in units for several lessons at a time. Some units will include: life cycles, animals and their habitats, states of matter, and much more!

I’m looking forward to collaborating with you on lessons we learn in class and how to generalize them for our students at home. We love taking pictures and sending them home.  Please look for these in the Home-School Communication books.

Maintaining open lines of communication is key to student success. We may communicate through the daily Home-School Communication book or email.  If you haven’t already done so, please be sure to let me know your preference in order for us to best share information

If you have any questions or concerns you can contact me at mradosti@thephoenixcenternj.org , write in the daily communication books, or call 973-542-0743 X 109 between the hours of 8:00 – 8:30 or 2:45 – 3:00.

Sincerely,

Michelle Radosti
