Room 209 – Stephanie Bloomer

Hello Students and Families,

Welcome to Room 209.  I look forward to an exciting year full of exploration and learning!

During the school year, our class will continue our exploration of the world, and the mysterious, captivating, and fascinating people and places within it. We will also be covering a number of popular scientific theories related to physics, biology, and the cosmos. The class has developed a love for literacy over the last two years, and as such, we will continue our literary journey with the characters from the A Wrinkle in Time series. As in previous years, Room 209 will be engaging in community service opportunities, which include fundraising and environmental awareness activities. The students will also continue to focus on improving and expanding upon their budgeting, payment, and money management skills in the community, and their ability to confidently and independently navigate stores. Technology will be infused into all aspects of instruction. The students in Room 209 will continue to utilize their individual Chromebooks, classroom computers, and iPad technology in order to access the most up-to-date information, to create documents and presentations, and to engage in activities and assignments in an alternate format.

If you ever have any questions or concerns, would like to share information, or would like an update on your child’s progress, I would be happy to make myself available through whichever medium is most convenient for you. The communication book is one of the most direct ways in which you can communicate with me or request additional information. You can also reach me any time via email, sbloomer@thephoenixcenternj.org, or through the school’s main number, (973)542-0743, extension 209, before or after school hours.

I look forward to working with you throughout another wonderful school year!

Sincerely,

Stephanie Bloomer
